Description

This one is centered around a theme of contrasting strength, weakness and trust. I like seeing something small and vulnerable trust, completely, in something powerful and menacing. I decided to make the giant read a book to create some kind of sense that appearances aren't everything and maybe he's not just a stupid juggernaut but a compassionate creature, watching over his little friend while he naps.

Photoshop CS once again, played with the color scheme extensively until settling on a muted red for the skintone. I hope you enjoy it.

Pretty cool picture. I like the way you tried to show this big dude as a brilliant educated beast... but somehow that's not how I first saw it...

Seing the picture, what came to my mind was "Oh... nice, a giant stupid juggernaut trying to figure out what the little dude find so interesting in his books. "

Isn't weird how we are somehow trained to see things in a certain way...

Giant and elements around it are all well developed, but area at left seems stark in comparision to the rest of image. Trees similar to the ones just behind giant could help balance out the composition. Nice color choice for giant, works well with atmosphere around it. Red book creates a powerful draw to it, which works here simply beacause it is so small that it could easily disappear near giant.
